We will be accepting new members on Sunday, October 28. If you are interested in joining the First Congregational UCC of Spencerport, please contact the church office at 352-3448.
It’s just a shoebox filled with a few things for a child. But what a difference it can make in the life of the child who receives it. On October 14 we will begin our drive for shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Lists will be in an insert in our bulletins that day. We’ll be collecting the boxes all month. And on November 11 we will dedicate all those gifts that will go all over the world to let children know that someone cares. Plan to be a part of this worthy effort.
The churches in Spencerport will be donating turkeys to the Food Shelf for Thanksgiving.
Turkeys can be brought to the Food Shelf (located behind Lamont Trophy Shop) on Saturday, November 17th between 9-9:30 am. If you would like to donate a turkey, but cannot drop it off, please contact Nancy Wilcox at 391-3082 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Collages were all the rage several years ago. As we join with one another this year, we are creating a new collage. During the year, we will be sharing pictures from our past and our present. We will be sharing our stories. We will be celebrating our heritage and our future.
So, we invite you to come and help us celebrate on September 9 as we rally together for the beginning of our Sunday School year. We’ll celebrate during worship and we’ll share a meal afterward. Come, bring a dish to pass (chicken bar-be-cue and drinks will be provided, as well as plates, cups, and utensils).
There will be GAMES, AND FUN, AND SHARING, AND CELEBRATION.
So come and join us.
