HOLY WEEK
Maundy Thursday So, it was a party with singing and dancing and good food when Jesus and his disciples shared the Passover together. We are going to have a party to commemorate that. We will have a catered meal and the opportunity to have some fun together as we remember the time of celebration that started with Passover and ended with Jesus’ invitation to share something new and different with him. There is a sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall for our Maundy Thursday Extravaganza. Please plan to share with us beginning at 6:00 on Thursday, April 17. Good Friday We have two opportunities to remember the passion of our Christ on Friday, April 18, this year. At noon, we will gather for worship in our chapel and share with sisters and brothers from churches in our area as we remember that time of dark despair that ended in the wonder of forgiveness. That evening at 7:00, also in the chapel, we will observe a modified Tennebrae. With music and silence and scripture story, we will remember the gift of Christ’s life given for us. Easter Sunrise Many people enjoy the early worship on Easter morning each year. This year, once again, we will gather with sisters and brothers in faith to celebrate the resurrection. The worship will be at 7:00 a.m. at the Gazebo on the canal. If you have not experienced this meaningful time with members of our community, plan now to attend. Easter Sunday Wonderful music! Words of praise! Celebration of Christ’s Resurrection! Plan now to join us for our Festival Worship on Easter Sunday, April 20th at 10:15 a.m. It will be a time of great joy and gladness.
