At the meeting on August 20, 2019, Council approved the policy for medical emergencies noted below (and accompanying procedures). Council believed that it was necessary to address the issue because of recent experiences locally, as well as the general world environment. The policy/procedure will be posted in the Fellowship Hall. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any church officer or Cabinet member.
Medical Emergencies Policy
In the event that an individual working in, visiting, or participating in any activity of the church experiences or appears to experience a medical crisis that appears to be of a serious nature where there is concern that there is a risk to the person’s life or of permanent harm, 9-1-1 will be called for immediate assistance. This will occur regardless of the individual’s wishes, unless there is an immediate adult family member present who also requests that 9-1-1 not be called.
