CELEBRATION/FAREWELL LUNCHEON
Join us after worship on Sunday, November 19, for a chili and cornbread celebration/farewell luncheon as we honor Pastor Nancy for her ministry with us and wish her well as she retires. A sign-up sheet is posted in the Fellowship Hall if you wish to bring a crock-pot of chili, shredded cheese, sour cream or a dessert (no nuts). HAT AND MITTEN TREE
The Pastor’s Christmas project that I began when I came was the hat and mitten tree. You had had a similar project before, but this was a bit more specific. Even though I am leaving, it has been decided that you will share this project again this year. So, this is a reminder that during the month of December you will have the opportunity to share with folks who have need of warmth in this chilly climate. Purchase or make: hats, mittens, gloves, scarves and warm socks for all ages and sizes. There are many people in this area who will give thanks for your thoughtfulness. The tree in the Fellowship Hall will be decorated by you! And folks will be warmed by your generosity. Following worship on November 26, you are invited to stay and help decorate the church for the season of Advent. This is a beautiful building, but it is always made even more beautiful when the decorations are put out. For those who are able to stay and help, there will be soup and bread and dessert for lunch following your hard work. Plan now to be a part of the effort to help “Hang the Greens.”
SALEM NUTRITION CENTER DONATIONS
As we near the holiday season, we are reminded of those less fortunate. The Salem Nutrition Center reaches out by providing a bag of personal care items to each visitor who comes to the Christmas dinner. Our congregation has been asked to donate WOMEN’S DEODORANT. We need to provide 75 packages of the WOMEN’S DEODORANT. Please put them in the basket in the Fellowship Hall marked “Salem." The deadline for contributing is December 3. Thank you, The Board of Christian Action ADVENT BOOKLETS
The Board of Christian Action will be ordering the daily devotional Advent booklets. They will be placed at the back of the sanctuary, beginning November 12. If you would like a copy mailed to you, please contact the church office at 352-3448. Spencerport Food Shelf
