GVA UCC YOUTH LOCK-IN ... OCTOBER 19-20
All kids grades 6th through 12th are invited to a lock-in overnight on Friday the 19th at the Henrietta UCC. The theme is “Storms in Our Lives” focusing on overcoming some of life’s difficult challenges. On Saturday the 20th, the youth will prepare and serve a pancake breakfast that will be open to the public as a fundraiser for “Keep Families Together.” This organization provides assistance to separated immigrant families from our southern border. If you and/or your family are interested in participating in this Lock-In, see Jessilou!
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD!
Every year we pack shoebox gifts to bless children in need around the world. Although this is a little early, please note that the boxes should be filled and ready to go by Sunday, November 11th. The boxes are available at church. Just select the gender and age of your intended recipient and fill a box! You may include toys, hygiene products, school supplies, but please, NO liquids, food, chocolate or war related items). Include a letter and photo too! More to come……
DESPERATELY SEEKING PUZZLE PIECES!
Some of you were sent a puzzle piece with the hope that you’d bring it with you to church on RALLY DAY! We received several back (thank you!), but we are still missing some. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO COMPLETE THE PICTURE! If you still have your puzzle piece, please tuck it into your purse or pocket and bring it to church. (You could also return it by mail, but we prefer to see YOU!) Hoping to see you soon!
