                                WOMEN'S GUILD

Pie Sunday - October 22
Do you enjoy eating pie? If so, you will want to join us after worship on October 22. The Women's Guild will be selling slices of homemade pumpkin, chocolate, apple and lemon pie for $2.00 a slice. Proceeds will be shared between the Salem Soup Kitchen and the Open Door Mission.

Neighbors in Need Offering

NEIGHBORS IN NEED OFFERING
October 1st

The 2017 theme for the Neighbors in Need offering is "Protect the Sacred: In a Just World, Clean Water is Life." We will receive this offering on October 1st as part of our World Communion Sunday worship.

NIN is a special mission offering of the UCC that supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. A portion of this offering is used to fund a wide array of local and national justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, and direct service projects. This offering also supports the UCC's Council for American Indian Ministries (CAIM).

World Communion Sunday

WORLD COMMUNION SUNDAY
October 1st

Various churches and denominations around the world celebrate the sacrament of Communion at different times and in different practices. But on the first Sunday of October each year (which this year falls on October 1) all churches are encouraged to celebrate and remember our relationship to one another through Jesus’ invitation. As we celebrate on that day, we will remember brothers and sisters in faith all around the world. Come and share with us as we worship together.
