It’s that time of year! Time to ask you to consider serving your church – in whatever way best meets your talents! And, yes, you have talents that your church needs. Our annual meeting is now in October, instead of January, and we need to fill the positions in all the boards by then. One of the core characteristics and strengths of a Congregational UCC church is that each congregation is responsible for running its own church – not someone outside our church walls. Church Council is our church’s governing body, and the Church Council is comprised of the members of all the boards.
There are many kinds of tasks that need to be done. Each board divides its tasks and meetings in different ways, but it usually means one evening/month and whatever task needs to be completed. The duties of the boards are posted in the Fellowship Hall. If you have any questions, I would be happy to chat with you (352-4548), as would any of the board chairs or members.
Please come join your fellow church members in supporting your church! As you already know, we have a great group of people!
