Bread, butter, drinks, and dessert will be supplied. For those not fond of chili, there will be Pulled Pork and Mac-n-Cheese. Sign up sheets will be posted after January 1.
Food, Fun, and Fellowship!!
_ The Board of Buildings and Grounds is recommending the replacement of the existing 50 year old elevator with a code compliant 2-level Lift. The new lift will be larger and have a greater capacity than existing and will not require an operator. Details/picture(s) are posted in the Fellowship Hall. Bids for the project have been received for $45,000-$50,000 and donations have already been received for $20,000 towards that total cost. Approval for this project will be requested at the Annual Meeting on January 20, 2013 as part of the annual budget discussion. If you have any questions about the project, you can call Tom Coburn at 455-1494 to ask questions or questions will be accepted during the Annual Meeting.
_ The Annual Meeting of the First Congregational Church UCC of Spencerport will be held immediately following worship on January 20, 2013. The purpose of the meeting will be to review the annual reports of the officers and boards of the church, to review and approve the 2013 budget, and to approve the slate of officers and boards for 2013.
In order for the current moderator to be approved for an additional term in 2013, the section of the By-Laws restricting the term of the Moderator to a second one year term will need to be suspended; a vote will be taken at the meeting.
In addition, there are two other agenda items requiring approval of the members of the church: a proposed change to the By-Laws and authorization to spend funds to replace the lift (aka “elevator”). The Annual Report and slate of officers will be available the day of the Annual Meeting.
