The Board of Christian Education has worked hard to provide an interesting, diverse and interactive array of Lenten programs for 2013.
All members of the congregation, their friends and family, are welcome to attend. Programs, including dinner, will take place at 6:00 PM each Wednesday evening during Lent, starting 2/20/2013. Programs are: Favorite Hymm Sing – bring your best voice and sing your heart out to some of your most favorite hymns; Muslim speaker from the Islamic Center of Rochester. A great opportunity to learn more about the Muslim culture. The Center’s mission is to promote friendly relations between Muslims and non-Muslims in the Rochester community; Comedy tape- “Super Sheep”; Motivational speaker Ken Davis answers the compelling question “Have you ever wondered why the Bible compares mankind to sheep?” His answer will have you in stitches! From the Spiritus Christi Church, the Director of the Prison Outreach Program will speak about this important ministry, including the in-person testimony of some of its clients on how this ministry has changed their life. Play: “Poems of The Passion”; we will be looking for volunteers. This year’s program will also include some relevant congregation community service participation. Each week, in support of the particular program for that evening, attendees will be asked to bring something to support some element of that program. Watch the bulletin for more details. An added incentive: Bunny Tubbs will again provide her wonderfully delicious corned beef and cabbage dinner at the 3/13 program. You won’t want to miss that! Comments are closed.
