The Annual Meeting of the First Congregational Church UCC of Spencerport will be held immediately following worship on January 19, 2014. The purpose of the meeting will be to review the annual reports of the officers and boards of the church, to review and approve the 2014 budget, and to approve the slate of officers and boards for 2014. In addition, there is one other agenda item requiring approval of the members of the church: a proposed change to the By-Laws (see December 2013 newsletter). The Annual Report and slate of officers will be available the day of the Annual Meeting. We will also install the officers and board members at the Annual Meeting, instead of the following week.
We will be recognizing new members on Sunday, January 5. If you would like to join, please contact the church office at 352-3448.

Following the program, we will have our annual Christmas party prepared by our very own "Chef" Bunny Tubbs.
Christmas Cookie Walk
We will be having our annual Cookie Walk on December 15 after worship, as well as in the afternoon following the Christmas Variety Show.
Donations of homemade Christmas cookies or decorative purchased cookies are needed. There is a sign up sheet in the Fellowship Hall.
BLUE CHRISTMAS WORSHIP
December 5th - 7:00 pm - Chapel
Once again, we will have a special time for worship and meditation for those who are grieving or in pain. Everyone is invited to this quiet time of worship on Thursday, December 5, at 7:00 pm in the Chapel. This candle-light worship with silence, scripture and worship will help us to feel the comfort and peace that comes from our God.
During the month of December, Pastor Nancy will be sharing communion with many of our friends and members who are unable to attend worship with us. You are invited to go and share in this sacrament. The plan is to visit two or three of these folks in the early afternoon. The dates planned are:
December 3 December 12
December 10 December 18
December 11 December 30
If you would be able to join her on one of those days, please call the church office at 352-3448 to let us know.
